Krikorian Scores Big in Dover

DOVER, DE -- David Krikorian won his 9th Coors Pole award of the season for the Cup race at Dover. The driver of the #24 Dupont Chevy proved his strength at the Monster Mile thursday night, as he won the Best Buy 100. The win is his 5th on the year. Eric Monaco, Kip Barker, Matt Riley, and Mike Husby rounded out the Top 5 finishers. Next week, NASRA heads south to Talladega, AL!

Mooresville, NC -- This week, we caught up with Hank Lee, the driver of the #5 DirecTV/Tide Chevrolet.

What has been the highlight of your season so far?
Hank Lee: Probably finishing 3rd at Bristol earlier this year in the Grand National Series.

Where is your ideal vacation spot?
Hank Lee: A Camping trip in the rocky mountains would be cool!

What's the last movie you watched?
Hank Lee: Good Question! Honestly, I can't remember.

Who is going to become the next U.S. President?
Hank Lee: Hopefully John McCain, but realistically probably Obama.

How's the Racing for Jesus opperation going?
Hank Lee: It's going quite well, we're exceeding expectations now. While the results aren't what we'd want at the moment, we have several potential sponsors for the remainder of the year. hopefully we can get into victory lane this year

Barker Riding High

Concord, NC -- Kip Barker led 52 laps en route to winning the Coca-Cola 150 Thursday night at the Lowe's Motor Speedway. In a season being dominated by Barker's teammate David Krikorian, Barker has been quietly stringing together consistent finishes each week. In fact, Barker has 7 consecutive Top 5 Finishes, highlighted by his win at the 1.5 miler that Barker calls his favorite track. Cory Spencer brought home the #75 Dodge in 2nd, with Brandon Ward in the #28 in 3rd. Next week, the NASRA Cup Series will tackle the Monster Mile in Dover, DE!

Pete Engelmanas Wins 3rd Straight GNS Race; Cup Race on Thursday!

Concord, NC -- Pete Engelmanas picked up win #4 in the NASRA Grand National Series for the season this weekend at the Lowe's Motor Speedway.

In more interesting news, the NASRA Cup Series will take to the track thursday night, for the Coca-Cola 150!

Mooresville, NC -- This week, we caught up with Kip Barker, the driver of the #88 Mountain Dew AMP/National Guard Chevrolet.

What has been the highlight of your season so far?
Kip Barker: Definitely winning the Budweiser Shootout.

Where is your ideal vacation spot?
Kip Barker: Maybe somewhere in Australia or Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I'd love to go check out Sammy Hagar's restaurant.

What's the last movie you watched?
Kip Barker: Bad Santa. Funny as hell! It's one of my favorites.

Who is going to become the next U.S. President?
Kip Barker: Hopefully John McCain, but we won't know until November 5th i guess.

How's your fantasy football team?
Kip Barker: It's about as strong as Bryan Kosiba's first relationship with a woman.

Brandon Ward Survives the Challenge!


Concord, NC -- Brandon Ward survived the mayhem at Concord, North Carolina's Lowe's Motor Speedway Thursday night to win the NASRA Sprint All-Star Challenge III Race. The race was filled with drivers who just had one thing on there mind.. the checkered flag. Unfortunately for some, they thought the checkers came on lap 5. The race was littered with multi-car crashes, including a massive pile-up in the last 10 laps, ignited by the #14 of Pete Engelmanas. Brandon Ward eventually made a late race pass on the #60 of Johnny Williams for the lead, and eventually the win. Next Week the boys will still be at the Beast of the Southeast, as they go for one of the most prestigious races in NASRA, the Coca-Cola 150!

Mohl Wins the Sprint Showdown!


Concord, NC -- Thomas Mohl Jr. took the checkered flag in the NASRA Sprint Showdown propelling himself into tonight's Sprint All-Star Race!
