Monaco Wins Crazy Race at Lowe's


CHARLOTTE, NC -- Eric Monaco brought home the win at Lowe's after an exciting last lap. Monaco got a great restart with 5 laps to go, and pulled away while Pete Engelmanas, Mike Husby and Jordan Robson battled for 2nd. Husby and Robson got to racing at the same time Engelmanas got tight and Husby got into the back of Engelmanas, which led to Engelmanas spinning across the line in 6th place.
Monaco won, Robson edged Husby at the line for 2nd, Husby finished 3rd, Cory Spencer 4th, and Andrew Hayes got a career best 5th. Next week the Truck Series heads to Dover for what should be an exciting race, dont miss it!

Collard Wins Southern 175!


Darlington, SC -- Dave Collard surprised the field and took home the victory Thursday night at the Darlington Raceway. The victory was Collard's 1st every Cup Series win. Harrison Widelitz finished in the 2nd spot, Eric Monaco lead the most laps and finished 3rd, Pete Engelmanas finished 4th and Wesley Hoag rounded out the top 5. The series now has a week off before they head to Charlotte for the Coca Cola 200.

Ward Takes Darlington Truck Race


Darlington, SC -- Brandon Ward took his 1st NASRA Supertruck series victory of 09' Tuesday night at Darlington. Ward got the lead late and was able to hold off Jordan Robson and Eric Monaco to bring home the victory. Robson finished 2nd and retook the point lead, Monaco finished 3rd, Cory Spencer was 4th and Dave Harvey finished 5th. Next week is an off week for the Supertruck Series, The series returns March 31st @ Lowes Motor Speedway.

1. You have started out strong this season, what are your expectations like as a driver, for the rest of the year?
PE:Just to run well every week and the points will take care of themselves
2. Who would you say is your closest friend in NASRA?
PE: Cant pick one, I'd say Husby, Trace and Dave.
3. What would another championship mean to you?
PE: Alot more than the 1st
4. You and Matt Trace formed PM Racing this season, what is PM Racing and how did it get started?
PE: Well, it actually started back in 2004 when Trace and I were both playing NT2004 online, it just grew from there basically.
5. Season 7, what are the chances of it running?
PE: Hard to say, were getting a good field, we just need a few extra bucks here and there, so donations would be appreciated.

Robson Takes Wild DirecTV 175


Fort Worth TX -- Jordan Robson won the DirecTV 175 on Thursday Night. Robson would use strategy to place himself up front at the end to take the win. The majority of the race was run under green and had several rounds of green flag stops. Hank Lee had his best finish of the season in 2nd, Frankie Stickley lead the most laps and was 3rd, Eric Monaco finished 4th and Brandon Ward rounded out the top 5. Next week both series head to Darlington to take on the "Lady in Black".

Engelmanas Takes Texas

Fort Worth, TX -- The NASRA Supertruck Series headed to Texas this week. Pete Engelmanas would end up taking his 3rd career NASRA Win at the track (2 Cup, 1 Truck). The race has a few yellows but had some long green flag runs, including green flag stops. Jordon Robson continued his impressive season and finished 2nd, Chris Darling was 3rd, with Eric Monaco was 4th and Nick Silver was 5th. Chris Darling maintains the points lead by 10 points over Jordan Robson.

The racing continues with the Cup Series at Texas Thursday night!

10 Questions With: Brett Black


This weeks first installment of 10 Questions With, Matt Trace brings us an exclusive interview with Brett Black. Brett won the NASRA Daytona 200 presented by The High Line and will be looking more.I will now ask you 5 questions for the first half.

Trace: 1. What got you into Sim Racing?
Brett:Easy, I just love racing. This is the closest I could get to the real thing, and im still having fun doing it.

Trace:2. What would a championship in NASRA mean to you?
Brett: I cant really say, It'd be awesome I know that. Hopefully some day I can run a full schedule. But my goals right now are to just rack up as many wins as possible.

Trace3. You are coming off a huge victory at Daytona, what did that win mean to you?
Brett:It was big, real big. My first NASRA win was the biggest race of the season. Had my teammate Harry pushing me to the win with my buddy Pete battling me for the win, couldn't have been better.

Trace:4. Who is your favorite Online Sim Racer?
Brett:hmm, Chris Darling is my hero. Plain and simple. Although my ol' buddy Jason Gracias is a close second lol.

Trace:5. Who do you look up to the most? (parent, athlete etc.)
Brett:Probably my dad. He's always pointing me in the right direction in life (weather I like it or not)

Monaco shows the way in Bristol

Bristol, TN -- Tonight Eric Monaco showed who's boss in Thunder Valley @ The World's Fastest Half Mile. The race got off to a slow start after Mike Husby spun his truck in front of the field causing a 4 truck pile up. The race went on to have several cautions, but the finish was nothing short of exciting. With a green, white, checkered finish Monaco pulled away from Brandon Ward and Mike Husby to hold on for the win. Brandon Ward, Mike Husby, Chris Darling and Mike Garaguso rounded out the top 5. Chris Darling takes over the points lead after three consecutive top 5 finishes. Next week the Truck series has a week off then its back to the track at the Track to Tough to Tame, Darlington!
