Husby Smokes the Field in 50th Start.

Talladega, AL -- This past Thursday Mike Husby won his 4th Cup series race in his 50th start at the Talladega Superspeedway. The race got under way with Jordan Robson and Bertus De Jong leading the field to the green flag.

Caution flew for the first time when Hank Lee spun in turn 1 also collecting David Damboise in the wreck. The race would get back under way with a couple of short runs before the big one broke out on lap 25 involving Dave Collard, Jordan Robson, Pete Engelmanas, Bertus De Jong, Andrew Hayes and Harry O'Neill.

The race went on to have a few more cautions before another big wreck involving Pete Engelmanas and Brett Black, when Black blew his engine causing the #18 Pedigree Toyota to go for a spin as well.

After all the wrecks subsided it was time for the only long green flag run of the night that went from lap 42 to the checkered flag. Teammates Husby, Robson and Collard would pit together with a few others, but would get off of pit road mistake free and pull away from the pack. Others had problems during their pit stops and would fall off the lead draft.

On the last set of pit stops with around 8 laps to go, teammates Husby, Robson and Collard all pitted but Collard had an issue getting on pit road and lost valuable time on pit road because of it. Robson and Husby would draft to the finish giving Mike Husby his 4th career win in the NASRA Cup series. Robson finished 2nd, Engelmanas rallied back to finish 3rd, Nick Silver with a career best finish of 4th and Bertus De Jong rounded out the top 5.

Next week the Cup series teams head to Martinsville where Mike Husby is the defending race winner. Will he be able to hold them off or will there be a new face in Martinsville's victory lane? Find out next week in the Goody's 150 @ Martinsville!

Collard narrowly takes Talladega.

Talladega, AL-- The NASRA Supertruck Series took the the high banks of the Talladega Superspeedway. Jordan Robson, a usual frontrunner at the plate tracks took the pole for the event.

The race took off with a fairly green run, with the opening 10 laps running under green. However a big wreck was triggered on the backstretch between Stephen Black and Clayton Stokes, sending Stokes spinning and Black flipping down the backstraightaway.

The race from that point on, was fairly green. At the end of the race Dave Collard managed to take the lead but then ran up into Hank Lee , causing a few trucks to spinout. Collard and the #18 of Pete Engelmanas had a drag race to the line, but Collard edged the 18 to the line by 0.007 seconds, which is one of the closest finish's in NASRA History.

Next week the Truck Series heads to Martinsville, the shortest track on the circuit.
